Quality & Product Control Technologist

Halifax, HA5 6TA Full Time

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality & Product Control Technologist to join our growing technical team.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the transfer of new products from laboratory development into manufacturing

  • Assisting with product and process improvement projects

  • Carrying out laboratory testing to support production and development

  • Performing Quality Control batch testing in line with company procedures

  • Recording, analysing and communicating test results accurately

  • Investigating product and process issues alongside production teams

  • Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Evaluating new raw materials and assessing compatibility with existing formulations

  • Maintaining laboratory equipment, calibration records and documentation

  • Contributing to continuous improvement across manufacturing operations

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within manufacturing, quality control or technical operations

  • Degree or equivalent qualification (such as an apprenticeship) in Chemistry

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to interpret data and make evidence-based decisions

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Understanding of quality assurance and process control principles

Desirable

  • Experience within chemical manufacturing or FMCG

  • Knowledge of laboratory testing techniques

  • Experience with manufacturing processes

  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
