What You'll Be Doing
As Product Development Manager, you will:
Lead the development, optimisation and commercialisation of new and existing product formulations
Manage innovation projects from concept through laboratory development, scale-up and production handover
Translate customer and market requirements into commercially viable product solutions
Drive continuous improvement across formulations, manufacturing processes and product performance
Maintain ownership of product formulations, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
Ensure products meet regulatory, customer and quality requirements throughout development
Support factory trials, process validation and successful production implementation
Work closely with Commercial, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality and Technical teams throughout the product lifecycle
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and new raw materials to identify future innovation opportunities
Leading, mentoring and developing R&D Technicians team to manage laboratory resources and development priorities
Creating a collaborative, innovative and continuous improvement culture
Ensuring laboratory activities are carried out safely and efficiently
What We're Looking For
Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry
Proven experience in product development, formulation or R&D management
At least 3 years' experience leading or supervising technical teams
Strong project management and organisational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
