Aquaspersions Achieve a Sustainable Manufacturing Milestone

We are pleased to announce that Aquaspersions (UK) Ltd and Aquaspersions Malaysia have achieved carbon neutrality for direct and electricity-related emissions (Scope One and Two) throughout 2022. This is one of our key milestones on our journey to a sustainable manufacturing future.

We have achieved this step through the adoption of cleaner practices, reducing our direct emissions, and by investing in Carbon Neutral approved projects.

  1. Methane Recovery Project in Brazil.

The purpose of this project is to mitigate and recover animal effluent related greenhouse Gas (GHG) by improving the Animal Waste Management System practices in the confined animal feed operations in the different cities located at the Mato Grosso do Sul state, central Brazil.

  1. Distribution Of Improved Cook Stoves in India

The purpose of the project is to facilitate clean cooking practices and reduce health risk due to indoor air pollution along with household drudgery amongst the tribal households (Schedule Tribe) and families living below the poverty level in villages of Maharashtra through dissemination of improved cook stoves. The improved cook stoves through replacement of inefficient traditional cook stove will contribute towards reduction of greenhouse gas emission and by-products of incomplete combustion like black carbon, conservation of fuel wood and thereby preventing forest degradation.

  1. Southern Cardamom REDD+ Project

The Southern Cardamom REDD+ Project (SCRP) is an initiative designed to promote climate change mitigation and adaptation, maintain biodiversity and create alternative livelihoods under the United Nations scheme of Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD+). The 445,339 ha SCRP encompasses parts of Southern Cardamom National Park and Tatai Wildlife Sanctuary and will protect a critical part of the Cardamom Mountains Rainforest Ecoregion – one of the 200 most important locations for biodiversity conservation on the planet.

The project will directly support the livelihoods of 21 villages in nine communes around the perimeter of the project area. Eight additional villages in 4 communes are eligible to receive educational scholarship. These communities represent approximately 3,957 families and 16,495 individuals.
