Special Celebrations for Aquaspersions’ Milestone Anniversary

This month the Aquaspersions team celebrate a very special occasion – the company’s 50th anniversary.

The event, held at the historic Piece Hall in the company’s home town of Halifax, West Yorkshire, was an opportunity to bring together teams from the UK, alongside representatives from the Malaysia and US sites, to thank them for their incredible hard work which has enabled the business to grow both its reputation and reach to global levels.

The celebrations gave the team some well-deserved time away from the business to come together and recognise such a significant milestone, and the fantastic achievements the company has attained. And, of course, have fun!

The day gave business leaders Mathew Hutchinson – CBPE Partner and Dr Alan Bewsher, CEO, the chance to personally thank the team for their contribution to the success of the business.

A Brief History

• Established in 1974, the company quickly built a reputation as a manufacturer of high-quality, water-based additives for the polymer latex, paint and adhesive industries.
• In 1992 Aquaspersions Malaysia was launched and a few years later a purpose-built factory was installed to supply the APAC region with increasing volumes.
• This was followed in 2003 with a move to a new facility in Rawang which offered increased production capability.
• In response to increased demand and sales, the Halifax plant was expanded in 2018 with further investment the following year which helped to strengthen the company’s position as a key supplier of aqueous emulsions and dispersions.
• In 2021 the company was acquired by CBPE Capital led by Aquaspersions CEO, Dr Alan Bewsher.
• And in 2023 an investment of $7.5million allowed the business to establish a new production facility in Louisiana to primarily supply critical components for the growing nitrile glove industry.
