Sustainability & Quality

Excellence in dispersions and emulsions

Safety, sustainability and quality are built into how we operate throughout Aquaspersions globally. We treat them as necessities and opportunities, not constraints.

Everything we do is focused around consistently meeting our customers’ requirements, reducing our impact on the environment, and improving the wellbeing, health and safety of our employees.

A Culture Built on Responsibility

Sustainability and quality are built into how we operate in Aquaspersions. We treat them as necessities and opportunities, not constraints.

As a chemical manufacturer, we recognise both the responsibility and the opportunity we have to conduct our business in a way that is safe, transparent, and environmentally conscious.

This commitment runs through the entire business, driven by our senior leadership team. They set clear objectives, tracks performance rigorously, and push for continuous improvement across every site.

Commitments & Standards

ISO 9001

Consistent, customer-focused processes and products, built on thorough quality management.

ISO 14001

Abiding to the environmental management system drives us to minimise our impact on the environment through structured monitoring and improvement.

ISO 45001

A safer workplace and a genuine culture of wellbeing, underpinned by effective health and safety management.

EcoVadis

We utilise EcoVadis assessments to benchmark and continuously improve our sustainability performance across environmental, social, and ethical dimensions. Our current ratings are Silver and Bronze respectively for the UK and Malaysia, reflecting the strong foundations to which we work.

Unwavering Regulatory Rigour

Compliance with applicable regulations is a cornerstone of how we do business.  We operate in a highly regulated environment, and we take our responsibilities in relation to environmental protection, product safety, and health and safety seriously.

Regulatory compliance protects our people, our customers, our communities, and the environment. It underpins the trust that our customers and stakeholders place in us, and it ensures that the products we manufacture and supply meet the safety standards that the law demands and the quality standards our customers expect.

We recognise that the regulatory landscape for chemical manufacturers is complex and constantly evolving, and we are committed to meeting those demands with diligence and expertise. All of which is driven by dedicated regulatory specialists with deep expertise across environmental, product safety, and health and safety law. They carry out thorough risk assessments across all areas of our business, from the evaluation of new materials and substances before they are introduced into our operations or product range through to assessing the impact of our products on their end use application.

By actively tracking legislative change at national and international levels, we stay ahead of new requirements rather than reacting to them, so our customers can rely on us to respond swiftly and effectively.

Our ESG Objectives

Progress requires measurement. Our senior management team sets and regularly reviews sustainable and quality objectives across key areas of our business.

Carbon footprint reduction — Tracking and reducing our total carbon emissions across our operations, with year-on-year improvement targets set and reviewed at board level and verified by external assessments.
Greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction — Targeting reductions across Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, with increasing focus on Scope 3 as our SBTi commitments mature.
Energy efficiency — Improving the energy intensity of our manufacturing processes and investing in cleaner, more efficient technologies.
Waste reduction and resource efficiency — Minimising waste generation and making better use of raw materials throughout our production processes.
Water stewardship — Monitoring and reducing water consumption, improving the quality of any water discharged from our sites and understanding where there are opportunities to reuse water within our processes.
Supply chain sustainability — Working with our suppliers to raise standards and reduce environmental and social risk across our value chain.
Health, safety & wellbeing — Maintaining rigorous incident prevention targets and fostering a workplace where every person goes home safe.

Continual Improvement

Real progress comes from honest evaluation. That’s why we run a structured programme of internal audits to assess our performance against our standards, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance across our operations. Audit findings feed directly into our management review process, ensuring that lessons learned translate into action.

Our sustainability and quality commitments are not a destination; they are an ongoing journey.

We are proud of the progress we have made and remain determined to do better, year-on-year, for our customers, our people, our communities, and our planet.
